3. Continue passing the needle under the back stitch on each side and then back to the first side to pass under the next back stitch. It does not matter whether you pass from left to right or right to left. On some shapes you may need to pass underneath a back stitch more than once to ensure the fabric is completely covered.
4. Wrap all the way to the end of both lines of back stitch. Then take the ribbon down and finish it off.
GRAB STITCH
This is a useful stitch for creating a raised knot attached to a straight stitch. It is perfect for the base of flowers with the stem attached.
